The Landing’s outreach program
The Direct outreach program aims to increase victim identification and connect survivors with services. To this end, The Landing engages in several types of outreach:
Street outreach events take place on Bissonnet and other locations known for trafficking. Our team, along with trained volunteers, build rapport with potential survivors by offering water, Gatorades – hot chocolate during winter – snacks, hygiene items, and othernecessities. The goal of street outreach is not to “rescue” but rather to build trust withindividuals and the community as well as offer information about resources available at
The Landing.
Court outreach is conducted at municipal court.
Online outreach is conducted through the Freedom Signal platform to offer support and services to potential survivors with sex ads posted online. Freedom Signal “scrapes” thesex ads and pulls phone numbers so we can send out texts
The Landing’s outreach program has engaged 770 survivors of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

Community Outreach
The Landing has reached over 20,000 people through 262 community presentations and fairs.
