2025 has been deeply transformative for our team. With each passing year, we’re committed to growing—not just in size, but in understanding. As we strive to expand our capacity so we can walk alongside even more human trafficking survivors in Houston, we’re continuously learning which resources and services make the biggest impact.
As we look back on all that 2025 held, we’ve gathered a few numbers that reflect what this year has looked like in action. But these aren’t just statistics. Each number represents a person. A life touched. A story moving from fear and uncertainty toward safety and healing.
We want to share some of those numbers with you—because every one of them is made possible by your faithful support:
1. 477 Drop-In Center Clients Served
We operate a daytime drop-in center for adult survivors of human trafficking or sexual exploitation. It’s a safe place they can come to make friends, meet with a counselor, eat, and rest.
To make our center easily accessible, we are located on Bissonnet, which is a nationally known hotspot for trafficking and prostitution. Our center is the first and only one of its kind in Houston.

2. 3,041 Case Management Sessions Held
The Landing’s Case Managers assist survivors to work toward achieving their goals. Clients meet with a case manager to:
- Create action plans
- Develop safety plans
- Get connected to other services
3. 6,119 Meals & Snack Packs Provided
Most of our clients struggle with food insecurity and a meal at The Landing is the only consistent meal they may get in a day.
A NEED YOU CAN MEET: We provide food for survivors every day at our Drop-In Center. Some days, that looks like sandwiches or easy, heat-and-serve meals. But when volunteers step in to prepare and share a fresh, hot meal, it transforms the experience—reminding survivors that they are loved. Our hope is to offer a home-cooked (or catered) meal every day. If just 16 churches committed to serving one day a month, we could make that vision a reality. Will your church partner with us? Reach out to get started.

Donating snack packs is another great way to provide survivors with immediate sustenance and a sense of control over their own needs. Learn how to donate here.
4. 4,095 Information Requests & Referrals Given
Survivors are often required to work with a complex array of systems—from accessing medical care and navigating the legal system to building career skills and finding safe, affordable housing.
Facing these needs alone can feel overwhelming. We connect our clients with timely, reliable referrals so they can take their next steps with clarity and confidence.
5. 94 Youth Advocacy Clients Served
Our Youth Advocates respond 24/7 after a child or teen is removed from a harmful situation. Then, they walk alongside the survivor throughout the recovery process, providing emotional support, assisting the individual in navigating community programs and services, and ensuring that their voice is heard.

6. 180 Clients Participated in Counseling
We know counseling is a vital part of trauma recovery. Sitting down with a licensed professional can be a powerful step toward healing—but it can also feel expensive, intimidating, or out of reach. We offer free, easily accessible mental health counseling for clients at our Drop-In Center, removing barriers so survivors can receive the support they deserve.
7. 1 Licensed Professional Counselor Hired
This year, we hired our first on-staff Licensed Professional Counselor, marking a major step forward in meeting the mental health needs of our clients. Mental health care is one of the most vital restorative services, supporting those in immediate crisis and those working towards long-term stability.
8. 300 Survivors Assisted with Transportation
For someone trapped in a life they did not choose, the desire to seek help, access resources, or pursue new opportunities may be there—but the means to get there often are not. We provide safe, reliable transportation to help survivors get to shelters, medical appointments, and other essential services.
9. 5 Graduates of Our Empowerment Program
In October, five clients proudly graduated from our Empowerment Program! Together, we honored their courage and growth as each graduate stepped forward with renewed confidence and the tools to create a future full of possibilities.
The Empowerment Program engages survivors in education, job-readiness skills, and personal growth. Upon completion, survivors are offered a scholarship to use toward further education.
As our team has been hard at work this year, our clients have been working hard right alongside us. We are incredibly proud of what they accomplished—in total, our clients set and achieved 1,517 goals! Our mission is always to empower survivors to rewrite their futures, and this remarkable number is a true testament to their resilience and determination.
In January of 2026, we will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Landing. As we approach such a meaningful milestone, our hearts are filled with so much gratitude, because you empowered our team to make our biggest impact yet this year.
Next year, we anticipate serving over 700 survivors. It’s going to be a big undertaking. But we believe it’s possible, because compassionate people like you choose to stand with survivors, year after year.
Our end-of-year theme is A Season to Shine: a reflection on our biblical call to shine God’s light through acts of kindness and generosity.
Will you help us illuminate a path of hope and healing for human trafficking survivors here in Houston? Please donate before December 31st to help us reach our $300,000 year-end goal so we can rise to meet the growing needs of our community next year.
